BEVERLY, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team gave up an early goal at Endicott, but rallied to ground the Gulls. The Wildcats posted a 2-1 victory on Wednesday.

The Wildcats won for the third time in five games and beat an Endicott team that was ranked fifth in the latest regional coaches poll.
The Gulls got on the board at the 5:48 mark, but the Wildcats answered four minutes later. Jozef Jennings (Barrington, R.I.) took a pass from Yohann Assouramou (Cotonou, Benin) to score his first goal as a Wildcat.
Johnson & Wales got the lead in the 29th minute. Teagan Drake (Westbury, Vt.) tallied his team-leading third goal to put the Wildcats up 2-1.
After giving up the first goal, Johnson & Wales goalkeeper Nicholas Mancini (Toms Rivier, N.J.) was a brick wall the rest of the game. He made five saves to get his third win of the year. Endicott outshot Johnson & Wales, 13-7, and had a 9-2 margin for corner kicks.
The Wildcats are on the road Monday to take on Plymouth State at 4:30 p.m.
