Wildcats Hunt Down the Golden Wolves in Record Setting Fashion

HAINES CITY, Fla. - The Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team defeated the Alvernia University Golden Wolves, 23-9, to end their spring break trip. The Wildcats offense was led by Tyler Drago who set a program record with seven goals and Matt Gelb who also set a school record with eight assists. Both players tied a program record with ten points.

Of Note:
Drago exploded for four goals in the first quarter, including two in the last two minutes. Gelb included two assists alongside Joe McIntyre's two goals.

The second quarter was no different for the Wildcats as they tallied seven more goals. Drago and Gelb connected on two-straight opportunities to add to their first half point totals with nine and six respectively.

In the second half, the Wildcats continued to pile up the points, scoring four goals in each quarter. Andrew Vasile scored a man-down goal to end the third with a career high in goals and points, with four and five.

The Wildcats held the advantage in shots, 69-36, and groundballs 46-25. The 23 goals tied a program record set in 2016 versus Becker.
