Lyons too Much for Men’s Lacrosse 16-8

NORTON, Mass - The Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team fell to the Wheaton College Lyons, 16-8, on Saturday. Senior Michael Celentano broke out for a career-high five goals in the contest.

Wheaton: 3-1
Johnson & Wales: 0-2

Of Note:
Celentano opened the scoring with two goals within three minutes of each other in the first quarter. 

Tyler Drago and Andrew Vasile scored in succession to cut the Lyons' lead to one goal with 9:55 remaining before halftime.

Celentano capped his first-half hat trick with a man-up goal with help from Matt Gelb, but Wheaton was able to take an 8-5 lead into the locker room.

Mike Catuosco and Celentano scored at the end of the third quarter to cut the Wheaton margin to 11-7. The Lyons ruined any chances for a JWU comeback with five unanswered goals to start the fourth quarter.

The Lyons held the advantage in shots, 52-37 and groundballs, 37-19.
