Farrell Named USILA Scholar All-American

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – This year's Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team continues to receive high honors for excelling in the classroom.

Senior Ben Farrell became the second student-athlete in program history to collect Scholar All-America honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. A native of Baltimore, Md, he posted a 3.49 grade point average in psychology. The USILA award is only given to senior student-athletes with 3.0 GPA or higher who are an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. Farrell was the only selection from the GNAC.

Farrell, who earned USILA All-America honors and played in the 2019 NEILA East-West Game with fellow seniors Erik Lindaas and Thomas Lyons, finished his senior season with 50 points. He scored 31 goals and assisted on 19 goals. Farrell finished his career at the top of the JWU record books with 80 career appearances while also ranking third all-time in goals and points.
