LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Recognition for the performance this season by Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse student-athlete Ben Farrell has expanded outside of the conference. The senior was named as a USILA/Warrior and New Balance Honorable Mention All-American.
Farrell is the first Wildcat to earn All-America honors in the program's six-year history. He was a four-time All-GNAC selection during his career, including a trio of First-Team honors.
A native of Baltimore, Md., Farrell scored 31 goals to go along with 19 assists to give him 50 points in his senior campaign. Farrell was a team captain and lead the Wildcats to a first-round upset of Saint Joseph's College of Maine before falling to the eventual champions from Norwich University. He was joined by David Sheehan of Lasell College as the only other player from the GNAC selected by the USILA.
Farrell finished his career with the most games played in a Wildcat uniform (80) and ranks third all-time in goals (131) and points (194).
