BRISTOL, RI. - A high-scoring second half was the difference in Saturday's contest between the Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team and Roger Williams University. The Hawks scored 10 goals, including seven in the fourth quarter, to defeat the Wildcats 13-8.
Roger Williams: 3-1
Johnson & Wales: 0-4
The Wildcats scored three unanswered goals to end the first half with a 6-3 advantage. Farrell ended the first half with his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
RWU took over in the second half, outscoring JWU 10-2 on their way to the victory. Jared Grier scored five times in the second half for RWU and added two assists for a game-high seven points.
The Hawks had a 51-36 advantage in shots as well as 53-32 ground ball margin. The Wildcats were successful on 21 of 25 clears.
Johnson & Wales is at home Thursday to take on Emerson College at 4 pm.
