PROVIDENCE, RI --- Despite a fourth-quarter push, the Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team couldn't pull out the victory on Saturday. The Wildcats dropped a 16-10 decision to Roger Williams.

Roger Williams scored three-straight second-quarter goals to open an 8-3 lead. Jacob deMey scored his second goal of the half with 46 seconds remaining to cut the Hawks' lead to 8-4. deMey tied his career-high with a pair of goals.
As has been the case this year, JWU struggled during the third quarter. Roger Williams outscored the Wildcats, 7-3, during the third period for a 15-7 advantage. The visitors won 20 of 30 faceoffs and picked up 42 ground balls, compared to 25 by JWU.
More than half of RWU's offensive production came from Jared Grier and Jude Marzec as they scored five and four goals, respectively. The Hawks edged JWU in the shots department, 44-32.
Johnson & Wales will try to stop its four-game slide when it travels to #20 Connecticut College for a 4 p.m. game on Monday.
