GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Success in the classroom has been a hallmark of the Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team. The Wildcats continued that tradition this year with 10 student-athletes named to the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Krampade All-America Scholar team.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade point average for the fall semester and participated in 40% of their school's games. Goaltenders are exempted from the percentage of games played requirement.
As a team, the Wildcats posted a 3.44 GPA for the year, the highest amongst JWU men's teams. Junior Graham Day made the list for the second time in his career.
