AUBURN, Mass. – A four-minute stretch in the second period was the difference for the Johnson & Wales University men's' ice hockey team at Anna Maria College on Tuesday. The AMCATS scored all three of their goals in the middle frame on their way to a 3-0 defeat of the Wildcats.
The loss dropped JWU to 3-11 while Anna Maria improved to 8-3-3.
Jack Sitzman scored the first of his two goals at the 12:32 mark of the second period. He'd add a power play goal four minutes later to cap the scoring.
The AMCATS had a 36-22 advantage in shots with AMC goalie Julius Huset stopping all 22 shots. Mike Rockwell Jr. made 33 saves for JWU.
The Wildcats resume NEHC action Friday when they host Skidmore at 7 p.m.
