WELLESLEY, Mass. – A tough second period kept the Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team in check as Babson College handed JWU a 6-0 conference loss on Friday.

The loss dropped the Wildcats to 1-7, 0-5 in the NEHC. The Beavers improved to 6-3-1 and 3-2 in the league.

The second period was all Beavers as Babson put three goals on the board.  All three scores came on the power play and overall BC was 4-of-9 with the extra attacker.

The Beavers had a 47-16 advantage in shots with Babson's Aidan Murphy (W, 5-0-1) stopping every shot he faced.

The Wildcats are back on the ice Saturday when they head to UMass-Boston for a 4 pm start.
