The Wildcats came out with some aggressive play in the first period as they got after the Bears keeper early.  Austin Withycombe collected the rebound of Graham Day's shot and was able to blast a goal from the left circle to the top shelf to give JWU the early 1-0 lead.

Early in the second period found the Golden Bears breaking through when John D'Anniello scored on the breakaway by zipping a shot past Mike Rockwell Jr.

JWU took the lead for good on the first of two Jake Glod goals. His quick shot in the front of the goal slipped by WNEU's Kyle Carducci midway through the period for the 2-1 advantage.

Five minutes into the third period Glod scored again and Kodi Legassie nabbed his first collegiate goal at the 11:19 mark.

The Golden Bears had a 47-34 advantage in shots on the evening, but Rockwell came through with 45 saves. JWU also stymied all seven of WNEU's power play opportunities.
