MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Year in and year out, the ice hockey team sets the standard academically for men's teams at Johnson & Wales University. The Wildcats continued that tradition with 13 members of the New England Hockey Conference All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for All-Academic recognition, a student must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and have completed one full year at their current institution.
Johnson & Wales was fourth amongst all schools and had three more honorees than last year. New England College and Norwich led the way with 18 selections each.
Seniors Chad Guderian, Nicholas Pezza and Stephen Rocchio ended their careers by earning academic all-conference honors all three years that they were eligible. As a team, the Wildcats carry a 3.48 GPA.
