Wildcats Fall 5-2 at #11 Hobart

GENEVA, NY – The Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team rebounded from a slow start, but couldn't pull off an upset of 11th-ranked Hobart College. The Wildcats lost a 5-2 decision to the Statesmen on Friday.

Of Note:
JWU spotted the Statesmen two first-period goals before scoring a pair of its own.

The Wildcats took advantage of the power play when Connor Bechtel lit the lamp at the 10:02 mark. Jake Glod and Craig Hessenius got the assists.

Fifty-eight seconds later, Hessenius got a goal of his own to tie the game at 2-2.

Hobart answered two minutes later then got a goal two minutes into the start of the second period.

The Statesmen had a 61-19 advantage in shots.
