PAWTUCKET, RI – A high number of penalties by the Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team and Suffolk University created an abundance of scoring opportunities. The Rams scored five times in the third period to beat the Wildcats, 8-6, on Saturday.

Johnson & Wales spotted the Rams two first-period goals before scoring three-times thanks to a major penalty.
Unfortunately, the Rams scored four times in the first seven minutes of the third period to retake the lead, 7-5.
Mike Rodriguez cut the lead to 7-6 with his score at the 15:35 mark, but Suffolk secured the victory with an empty-net goal in the final 30 seconds.
The game was marred by a combined 33 penalties. JWU went 3-for-7 with the extra attacker while the Rams were 2-for-7.
JWU is back at home on Friday to host New England College at 7 p.m.
