PAWTUCKET, RI.– The Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team hosted the #12 team in the country Saturday when Hobart College came to town. The Statesmen's strong play in the first two periods secured the 6-1 victory.

Zach Sternbach (HC) : 2 goals

JWU: Mike Rockwell (L, 1-6-2) 31 saves
The first period was a back and forth affair until Hobart's Zach Sternbach got one past JWU keeper Mike Rockwell at the 13.42 mark.
The Statesmen got things rolling their way in the second period with three goals in a three-minute span, capped by Sternbach's second goal in as many periods.
Wildcats would get on the board early in the third period when Chad Guderian made the horn sound on a power play.
The shot advantage was held clearly by Hobart as they more than doubled the Wildcats, 37-17.
The Wildcats are off for a bit, but return to work on Saturday, December 29th when they travel to Middlebury for a 1pm start.
