Patch Tied for Top Individual, Wildcats Land Third

Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Johnson & Wales University men's golf team concluded their visit to New York and the Bethpage State Park golf course with a third place finish and a co-medalist at the Farmingdale State Fall Invitational.  The Wildcats were on point both days as the team rounds of 304 and 306 had them above nine other schools and only nine shots off the tournament champion.

Rosemont took the top slot shooting a tournament best 601 while the host school, Farmingdale, took second with a 608.  The Wildcats secured third place with their 610.

Mac Patch was the top golfer for Johnson & Wales as well as the tournament.  He shot a day one 69 and then coupled it with a 74 for a 143 which had him tied for the top individual in the event.  Nico Ciolino continued his strong play by shooting a 149.  Ryan Malloy improved by a stroke on day two and shot a combined 157.  Both Christian Maselli and Matt Daley finished with a total of 164, with Daley bettering his day one score by six strokes.  

The Farmingdale State Fall Invitational was the last tune up before the Wildcats head to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championships on the weekend of October 12th and 13th at St. Joseph's College in Maine.
