Wildcats Lead Following Day One of RIC Spring Invite

WARWICK, RI – Back on the course for the first time this spring, the Johnson & Wales University men's golf team leads after day one of the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational at the Valley Country Club.

Johnson & Wales fired an opening round 310 to lead UMass Dartmouth by one stroke. Endicott and Tufts each fired a 313 to tie for third.

Equaling his best round of the year was Mac Patch who posted a score of 74 to lead the field by a stroke. Claudio Soukamneuth posted a 76 to come in fourth and Alex Parente is one back of him in 10th. Ryan Malloy and Hunter DiLorenzo both posted an 83.

The tournament wraps up Saturday with the final 18 holes.
