Wildcats Place Fifth at Duke Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Johnson & Wales University men's golf team put together another solid round on Sunday at the Duke Nelson Invitational. The Wildcats posted a two-day total of 595 (295-300) to place fifth on the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

Williams won the event with a 36-hole score of 584. JWU finished three-strokes back of Babson. The 595 total is the Wildcats' lowest two-day total in nearly 10 years.

Sophomore Claudio Soukamneuth finished in a tie for fourth at 145 (70-75). It's the second top-five finish of his career. Junior Alex Parente carded back-to-back rounds of 74 to place 14th at 148.

Newcomer Mac Patch sliced three strokes off his opening round for a two-day total of 151 (77-74). One stroke back was Matt Daley with a 152 (74-78). Sophomore Hunter DiLorenzo was three strokes better on Sunday for a 36-hole total of 157 (80-77).

Johnson & Wales is back on the course next weekend at the Williams Invitational.
