Wildcats Take Second at Babson Invitational

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University men's golf team played a one-day event at the Wellesley Country Club on Thursday. The Wildcats defeated Salem State, but lost to host Babson.

The Wildcats carded their lowest round of the spring with a 306. The host Beavers shot 293 and Salem State posted a 308.

Leading Johnson & Wales was freshman Matt Daley with a 75. One stroke back was classmate Claudio Soukamneuth. Rookies Ryan Malloy and Hunter DiLorenzo shot 77 and 78, respectively. Rounding out the JWU scores was Christian Maselli at 79.

JWU is back on the course Saturday to take on Rhode Island College in The Cup at Cranston Country Club.
