NORTHFIELD, VT. – The Johnson & Wales University men's basketball team finished the 2019-20 season with a decisive victory. The Wildcats defeated Norwich University, 94-67, on Saturday.
Norwich: 6-19, 2-9 GNAC
Johnson & Wales: 12-13, 4-7 GNAC
Midway through the first half, Justin Bullock knocked down a pair of free throws to put the Wildcats up 20-15.
Johnson & Wales' defense held the Cadets scoreless for nearly six minutes in the first half.
Senior Brian Hogan-Gary scored five-straight points as JWU pushed its lead to 45-15 and went into the half up 47-19.
Johnson & Wales shot 50 percent in the opening 20 minutes and made six three-pointers.
All five starters reached double figures, led by 17 from Justin Bullock. In his final collegiate game, Hogan-Gary turned in 15 points with eight rebounds. Bryan Davis turned in a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Head coach Jamie Benton will have to replace four seniors on this year's team, including 2019 GNAC Player of the Year Hogan-Gary.
