Yale Too Much for JWU Men’s Basketball 108-58

NEW HAVEN, Conn.  –A normal trip to New Haven means a visit to rival Albertus Magnus College for the Johnson & Wales University men's basketball team. On Sunday, the Wildcats stepped up their game to face NCAA Division I Yale University. Unfortunately, JWU was no match for the Bulldogs as Yale prevailed, 108-58.

Nate Patenaude (JWU): 21 points, 5 rebounds

Of Note:
The Wildcats held their own in the first half. Nate Patenaude's layup at the 5:19 mark cut the Yale lead to 32-26. The was as close as JWU got the rest of the way as Yale went into the locker room up 48-31.

The second half was a different story as the Bulldogs outscored the Wildcats, 60-27. Yale shot 61.1 percent (22-of-36) from the floor and 58 percent for the game. The Bulldogs had a 57-25 rebounding advantage and scored 60 points in the paint.

Patenaude produced a season-high 21 points while grabbing five rebounds. Brian Hogan-Gary was next with 14 points. Rookie Chris Lugo scored nine points off the bench.
