
SALEM, Va. – Bolstered by a 25-point performance from Brian Hogan-Gary, the Johnson & Wales University men's basketball team wrapped up the Dick Leftwich Tip Off Tournament with a victory. The Wildcats defeated Goucher College, 67-57, on Saturday.

Of Note:
Johnson & Wales got out to a fast start and wasn't really challenged the entire game. Hogan-Gary followed a Danny Ampofo three-pointer with three-straight baskets to stake JWU to a 20-7 lead. The Wildcats led 34-28 at the break.
The Wildcats attacked the boards, holding a 46-36 rebounding advantage. Johnson & Wales got 15 points off turnovers as well as 15 second-chance points.
A pair of players produced double-doubles with Hogan-Gary notching 25 points and 11 rebounds. Getting his first collegiate double-double was Bryan Davis with a career-high 12 points and 13 rebounds. Ampofo came off the bench to score 10 points.
