Brian Hogan-Gary Named Third-Team All-New England

WINTHROP, Mass. – Recognition for the performance this season by Johnson & Wales University men's basketball student-athlete Brian Hogan-Gary has expanded outside of the conference. The junior was named to the All-New England Region Third-Team.

Hogan-Gary is the first Wildcat earn all-region honors since Quarry Greenaway and Tom Garrick in 2015-16. Previously, he was GNAC Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-GNAC.

A native of Staten Island, NY, Hogan-Gary is only the third GNAC player to win both awards and the first since Victor Ljuljduraj of Albertus Magnus in 2015. He's the first Wildcat to win a major award since Quarry Greenaway was named Player of the Year and Rob Lewis was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year in 206.

The junior averaged 23.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.7 steals, while shooting 51.2% from the floor. Hogan-Gary ranks 11th in the NCAA for double-doubles (16) and his single-season JWU record 11.5 rebounds per game is also 11th. His 23.6 ppg. rates 17th in the nation and is sixth on the JWU single-season chart.

Head coach Jamie Benton will have to replace senior starters Randall Ferdinand and Matt Madoian, but does return Hogan-Gary and fellow starters Justin Bullock and Donovian Maxfield
