NEW HAVEN, Conn. – All five starters reached double figures for the Johnson & Wales University men's basketball team, but it couldn't get the Wildcats a GNAC victory at Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday. The Falcons held on to beat the Wildcats 89-85.

The Falcons built a 70-60 lead midway through the second half. Johnson & Wales worked the lead down to 73-72 on a pair of Justin Bullock free throws with 6:17 remaining.
The Wildcats had a chance to tie or take the lead in the closing seconds. After a Tyreek Perkins free throw with 19 seconds left, Bullock missed a layup and Matt Madoian grabbed an offensive rebound, but couldn't hit a go-ahead three-pointer.
The visitors struggled from behind the arc, hitting only 2-of-21 shots as part of their 40.5 overall shooting percentage. AMC shot 48.3 percent overall, including 52.8 percent in opening 20 minutes.
Leading all players was Brian Hogan-Gary with 27 points and a career-high 19 rebounds for his fifth double-double in a row. Bullock was next at 17 points.
JWU ends the regular season at 3 pm on Saturday at Emmanuel.
