WINTHROP, Mass. –Another monster performance, another GNAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Johnson & Wales University's Brian Hogan-Gary. It's the junior's second award in a row and third in the last six weeks.
The Staten Island, NY native's five awards lead all GNAC players and are the most for a Wildcat since Quarry Greenaway had five in 2015-16. Chris Childs from Saint Joseph (Conn.) was tabbed Rookie of the Week.
JWU only played once last week, but Hogan-Gary recorded his fourth-straight double-double in the Wildcats' 71-46 victory over Anna Maria. Hogan-Gary posted game-highs of 28 points and 15 rebounds against the AMCATS, shooting an impressive 13-of-19 (68.4%) from the floor while adding five steals and two assists. He's in the NCAA top 10 for double-doubles (13) and top 20 for scoring (23.3 points per game).
The Wildcats are on the road Tuesday to face Albertus Magnus at 8 p.m.
