Field Hockey Drops 8-2 Decision Against Roger Williams

BRISTOL, R.I. - In a cross-town show-down Tuesday afternoon the Hawks defeated Wildcats, 8-2. Unfortunately, early goals from the Hawks were too much to come back from.

Of Note:
The Hawks got on the board with two goals within the first five minutes of the game. Johnson & Wales' Jillian Miele answered back, scoring her second goal of the season, to bring the score to 2-1.

The Hawks went on to take the lead, ending the first quarter up 3-1. A barrage of shots was too much to come back from, giving up four goals in the second half.

The Hawks outshot the Wildcats, 35-14. Johnson & Wales goalkeeper Grace Pendergast turned away 13 of the Hawks 21 shots on goal.
