NASHUA, N.H. – A pair of goals in the last 10 minutes of the first half propelled the Johnson & Wales University field hockey team to victory on Saturday. The Wildcats went on the road to beat Rivier University, 4-3.

Johnson & Wales got on the board first with a goal in the eighth minute from Rachel DeVore, assisted by Kerrianne Fagan. Rivier replied with a pair of goals from Jaclyn Fraser and Mikayla Ramsdell to take the lead, 2-1, with 10 minutes left in the first half.
Less than a minute later, Erin Esty fired back to tie the game at 2-2. The Wildcats added another goal from Erin Robin, assisted by Adriana Scala, to take a 3-2 halftime lead.
The Wildcats found the back of the net in the 45th minute when Jillian Miele scored off a break to increase the lead to 4-2. Miele leads the Wildcats with 12 goals.
Meagan Sheehy scored with three minutes left in the game to pull the Raiders within a goal, but JWU held on for the victory.
The Wildcats outshot the Raiders, 18-10.
The Wildcats return home Tuesday for their Play For a Cause Game against Anna Maria. The team is accepting donations at the game for Breast Cancer Awareness
