IDA Equestrian Wins Maine Show

NEWBURGH, Maine – It was a great start to the season for the Johnson & Wales University IDA Equestrian team. The Wildcats won the University of Maine show at Puckerbrush Farms.

Johnson & Wales had a pair of riders win their division. Junior Lindsey Vollinger took first place in first level and was Reserve High Point of the Day with a 70.926. Sophomore Savannah Hoglan recorded a score of 68.913 to take the blue ribbon in lower training.

Annarose Cowan placed second in intro with a score of 65.938. Placing third in upper training was Samantha Kondej at 68.846 and Makayla Mopps was also third at 62.609 in lower training.  

JWU had two top-five finishes in first level and upper training. Maggie Dickey scored 66.111 to take fourth in first level and Kaitlyn Buchholz was fifth in upper training at 65.385.

The Wildcats go on the road next Saturday at the New Hampshire Show.
