Baseball Slugs its Way to 10-5 Win over NEC

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.  – The Johnson & Wales University baseball team got out to a quick lead and didn't look back Thursday against New England College. The Wildcats defeated the Pilgrim, 10-5.

JWU took control with four runs in the fourth inning. The big blow was a two-run Domingos' home run.  

The Wildcats racked up multiple extra-base hits throughout the game. Rich Bourdeau had an RBI triple in the fifth then Armani Henderson drove in Adam Diehl with a double in the sixth.

Domingos struck again with a triple to bring Bourdeau home in the seventh.  Two batters later, Henderson delivered a double to score Domingos.

That was more than enough offense for starting pitcher Steve Rocchio. He got his second victory of the week by throwing six innings with nine strikeouts.
