Scott Reslow has transformed the Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team into a contender in the highly-competitive Great Northeast Athletic Conference year-in and year-out. The 2020 season marks his 12th year as the Wildcats' court boss.

Over the last five years, Johnson & Wales has averaged nearly 19 wins per season, including the only three 20-win seasons in program history. Last year JWU set a program record with 21 victories. The last three seasons under Reslow's direction, the Wildcats have reached the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament.

The 2019 campaign saw five Wildcats on the All-GNAC teams, including First-Team selection Cameron Ponce who became the program's first four-time all-conference honoree. First-year Jack Pincience was named Rookie of the Year, joining Ponce as the only player in program lore to earn a postseason specialty award.

Accolades have flowed in for the Wildcats during Reslow’s tenure. All-told, 28 players have earned All-GNAC accolades. In 2018, JWU had a program-best five All-GNAC selections, including First-Team picks Cameron Ponce and Alex Seda. In 2016, Ponce became the first men’s player to earn a conference specialty award when he was named GNAC Rookie of the Year. After the 2011 campaign, Reslow was voted GNAC Coach of the Year by his peers.

Reslow was named the head men's volleyball coach in 2009.  In his first season, he guided the Wildcats to a playoff berth and the #4 seed in the conference and the Wildcats returned to the GNAC Tournament in 2011. 2012 was a breakout season for the Wildcats as they posted 17 wins and the #3 seed in the playoffs.  In 2014, the Wildcats finished with a 19-11 record, which at the time tied them for most wins in a season with the 2006 Wildcats.

After being an assistant basketball coach for East Greenwich High School (EGHS) for a year and Toll Gate High School (three years), Reslow changed course and got involved in volleyball.  In 2003 he was named the assistant boys’ volleyball coach at EGHS.  By 2008, he was named the head coach for the EG boys’ volleyball team, as well as the girls’ team (which finished with 2 playoff berths), and his boys’ team finished in the final four of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League.

An all-state volleyball and basketball player in high school, Reslow went on to play college basketball at Moravian College in the late nineties.  During his collegiate career, he was also involved in the first Men's Volleyball Club Team at Moravian.  He competed two of his four years, and was a starting outside hitter.  He graduated in 1999 with a degree in Political Science.

Reslow started his Johnson & Wales career working with both the men’s and women’s programs. He was an assistant on the JWU women’s team that won the GNAC, and secured an NCAA berth in 2010.  He served as the interim head coach in 2011, and led the Wildcats to a playoff appearance.

When not coaching at JWU, Reslow is a broadcaster for volleyball and basketball events.  In addition, he serves as a member of the athletics marketing and communications team.

Reslow continues to play, and coach, volleyball locally as well.  He annually competes in the Yankee Volleyball Association as a Middle Blocker, and he also works local volleyball camps when available (most recently being the RIPP Elite Camp in 2013).
