The 2019-20 season marks the 15th season for Lou Parente as the head coach for men’s golf and 6th year with the women’s squad.
The GNAC Coach of the Year in 2008, 2009, 2017 & 2018, Parente has led the men’s program to six conference championships and four NCAA Championship appearances.
After a term of the NCAA Regional Ranking committee from 2015-18, Coach Parente just began a five-year term on the NCAA D3 Golf Championships Committee as well as serving as the chair of the Northeast RAC. In addition, he served as the president of the NEIGA.
He is a member of the Golf Coaches Association of America, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association and a Past President of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association and was their 2015 Gordon McCullough Award recipient for service to New England college golf.
A former PGA apprentice professional, Coach Parente competed in the United States Amateur in 1998 and the North & South Amateur in 1999.
Coach Parente currently resides in Charlestown, RI with his wife Kim.
