Jamie Marcoux was appointed the Director of Athletics of the Providence Campus in December 2013. Marcoux has been at Johnson & Wales for 17 years, originally hired as the Head Athletic Trainer she soon took the helm of the women's volleyball team and was named the Associate Athletic Director.
She served for 15 seasons as head coach of the Wildcats women's volleyball team where she guided the Wildcats to the 2010 GNAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III Championship. She led the squad to the five GNAC championships and a post-season berth in nine of her last 11 years, compiling over 320 wins during that span. Marcoux has been named GNAC Coach of the Year six times, including winning the honors in 2008 after leading the Wildcats to a tie for the regular season championship. She was selected as Female Sports Coach of the Year in 2011 by Words Unlimited for the second time during her illustrious career.
A volleyball and basketball star at North Smithfield (R.I.) High School, Marcoux was named to the New England Senior All-Star Team while competing in volleyball at Rhode Island College. She holds a B.S. in Community Health and Athletic Training from Rhode Island College and an M.S. in Athletic Training from Indiana State University.
