PROVIDENCE, RI – Tickets for the annual Johnson & Wales University ice hockey games at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in downtown Providence go on sale Tuesday. The games are slated for Thursday, January 19.
The event is free for JWU students with a valid ID. Tickets for staff, faculty and the public are $8. Tickets will be available at the athletic department offices in the Wildcat Center, the student involvement and leadership office at the CBCSI and online at Ticketmaster through the Providence Bruins. JWU students will pick up their tickets at the door on the 19th and must bring their ID.
The day begins with Maria Lewis' women's program taking on SUNY Canton at 4 p.m. The men's squad, under the direction of first-year head coach James LaCour, follow with Suffolk at 7 p.m.
For the men's team this will be the fourth year that they've played at the Dunk. The Wildcats are 2-1 at the home of the Providence Bruins after beating Curry 5-2 last season. In its inaugural season, the women's program defeated Salem State, 2-1.
The men's team is back at home on Thursday when they take on Nichols at 6:55 p.m. The women's team skates on Friday against Stevenson at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, Conn.
