WINTHROP, MASS. – Johnson & Wales University women's cross country runner Victoria Barlow is establishing herself as the top freshman in the conference. For the second week in a row, she was named GNAC Rookie Runner of the Week as announced by the league office.
It's the third time this year Barlow (Riverhead, N.Y.) has picked up the award. Haddie Lary from Norwich University was named Runner of the Week.
For the second week in a row, she posted her fastest 5k time of the year. Barlow was the first Wildcat across the finish line with a time of 20:24.67 at the James Earley Invitational.
JWU takes part in the Saints Invitational on Friday.
