Women’s Cross Country Takes 36th At NCAA Division III New England Championship
The women's cross country team finished in 36th place finish in the 51 team field at the 2011 NCAA Division III New England Championship, hosted by Bowdoin College Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats finished with 1028 points while Middlebury took home the team championship with 55 points at the 6K course.
Junior Laura Furfaro (North Warren, N.J.) led the way for Johnson & Wales, finishing the race in a time of 23:33 which was good for a 87th place finish for the Wildcats. Fellow junior Jessica Klepper (Long Valley, N.J.) finished in 193rd place with a time of 25:13 while freshman Joanna Mumbey (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) clocked a time of 25:47 for a 225th place finish.
