Women’s Cross Country Takes 35th At NCAA Regional
The Johnson & Wales University women's cross country team took a 35th place finish at the NCAA Division III New England Championship, hosted by Williams College on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats finished with 588 team points while Middlebury took home first place in the 39 team field.
Sophomore Laura Furfaro (North Warren, N.J.) was the top runner for JWU, finishing in 119th place with a time of 25:27 over the 6K course. Junior Kathleen Restino (Kennett Square, Pa.) recorded a time of 26:56 for a 215th place finish while fellow junior Lindsay Panny (Nashua, N.H.) placed 228th in a time of 27:16. Sophomore Allison Polaski (Fort Wayne, Ind.) was in 237th place with a time of 27:36 while fellow sophomore Jessica Klepper (Long Valley, N.J.) was right behind with a time of 27:40 which was good for 240th .
