PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University women's volleyball team took care of business on Saturday. The second-ranked Wildcats defeated visiting Anna Maria College, 3-0 (25-7, 25-7, 25-10).

The Wildcats won their 53rd-straight home match, passing Juniata for sixth in NCAA Division III history. JWU is one match back of Bates for the number five spot.
Johnson & Wales won its 35th conference match in a row, dating back to the 2015 season. JWU has won 67-consecutive sets against GNAC opponents, 91 in a row during the regular season.
The Wildcats extended the longest active winning streak in the nation to 24 matches.
Tough serving by the Wildcats kept Anna Maria out of system all afternoon. Johnson & Wales had a season-high 17 aces – its most since amassing 18 versus the University of New England on October 3, 2015.
JWU was also sharp offensively, hitting .545 compared to -.114 by the visitors. Leading the way for the Wildcats was rookie Tiah Scott with a match-high eight kills.
The Wildcats are on the road next Friday when they take on Hunter and Kean.
