Johnson & Wales won its 33rd conference match in a row, dating back to the 2015 season. JWU has won 61-consecutive sets against GNAC opponents, 85 in a row during the regular season.
The first set versus Rivier was tied, 17-17, but the Raiders committed three-straight errors and Brylee Frank mixed in two aces to put the set out of reach.
Frank – who handed out 30 assists - had the offense firing as four different players recorded five or more kills, led by nine from Hannah Dolan.
Johnson & Wales had a .260-to-.055 hitting advantage thanks, in part, to 23 Rivier hitting errors and 52 JWU digs.
In the first two sets against Coast Guard, the Wildcats went on a big run to put the set away. JWU found itself down 22-20 in the third set, but a Katie Leidhold kill sparked a 5-0 run to finish the match.
Leidhold had a match-high 15 kills and 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the year. Frank also had a double-double with 31 assists and 11 digs.
The Wildcats hit .346 and had a 52-40 digs margin.
