Three Women's Volleyball Standouts Earn All-GNAC Accolades

Seniors Catherine Bravo, Emma Anderson and Nikki Balchunas each earned All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference accolades, announced by the conference office after a vote by the coaches.

Bravo, the 2010 GNAC Player of the Year. was also named the MVP of the GNAC Championship.  For the season she averaged 2.9 kills, 3.4 set assists and 2.4 digs per set for the Wildcats.

Anderson was also a first-team all-conference selections for JWU, averaging 1.64 kills, 0.9 set assists and 0.7 digs per set.

Balchunas earned third-team all-GNAC honors after averaging 2.0 kills and 2.45 digs per contest on the season.

The Wildcats finished the season with a 24-13 overall record and an 11-1 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.  The team captured their fifth GNAC Championship and appeared in the NCAA Division III Championship where they earned the No. 7 seed and dropped a hard fought 3-2 decision against second seeded Stevens Tech.
