JWU Women’s Volleyball Standout Catherine Bravo Earns All-New England Accolades

Bristol, R.I.- Johnson & Wales junior Catherine Bravo (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) was named to the New England Women's Volleyball Association All-New England team, announced on Saturday afternoon. It marks the second straight season that the junior standout has earned All-New England accolades.

Bravo led the Wildcats with 3.22 kills per game while hitting for an impressive .288 percentage. The outside hitter also recorded 2.48 digs and 0.48 digs per game for the Wildcats. It marks the third different player from Johnson & Wales to earn All-New England honors since the 2004 season.

Johnson & Wales finished the 2009 campaign with a 23-16 record, reaching the finals of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, earning a bid to the ECAC Division III New England Championship.
