Freshman Cap Off Impressive Rookie Season With All-GNAC Honors

Two freshmen were selected to the Women’s Tennis 2011 All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference team, announced by the conference office. Samantha Jo Borr (Westfield, NJ) and Stephanie Piperis (Yorktown Heights, NY) were named All-Conference second team singles.

Jo Borr posted an 8-3 overall record, including a 3-2 mark in conference play.  Piperis led the Wildcats in wins with an 11-1 record on the season and posted a 5-1 record in GNAC play. Senior Dana Trimborn was also named to the All-Conference sportsmanship team.

JWU finished the 2011 campaign with a 9-7 overall record, 5-4 in the GNAC.  The Wildcats reached the semifinals of the conference championship.
