Women’s Soccer Scores Early En Route to 2-0 Win at Simmons

PROVIDENCE, RI – Two early goals held up for the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team Wednesday night. The Wildcats went on the road to top Simmons, 2-0.

Of Note:
The first goal came just 91 seconds into the contest. Deja Hursey's crossing pass into the box was tipped in by Jordan Restivo for her ninth goal of the season.

Fourteen minutes later, Hursey connected with Olivia Cairrao for an insurance goal. Cairrao ranks third in the GNAC with 11 goals.

It was a light night for JWU goalkeeper Colleen Lynch as she only had to make three save for her eighth shutout.

Johnson & Wales had a 23-6 advantage in shots as well as 15-1 for corner kicks.
