Second-Half Offense Gives Wildcats 3-1 Win Over Suffolk

PROVIDENCE, RI – All the goals the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team needed on Wednesday came during a six-minute span of the second half. The Wildcats defeated Suffolk University, 3-1, to run their unbeaten streak to nine games.

Of Note:
After a scoreless first half, the Wildcats got on the board just 3:31 into the second half. Rookie Jordan Restivo crossed the ball into the box where classmate Emily Zeblisky volleyed it out of the air and into the goal.

JWU's offense struck again just six minutes later. Mackenzie Willis slid the ball past two Suffolk defenders to Cat Nolan and she drove it home from 35-yards out.

The Rams cut the lead in half in the 69th minute. Off the restart, Melissa Adamo served the ball to Caleigh O'Brien in the box. She spun past two JWU defenders and around goalkeeper Collen Lynch to deposit the ball into the open net.

Next Game:
Johnson & Wales plays its final home game of the regular season Saturday when it hosts Saint Joseph's at 2:30 p.m. Prior to the game, the Wildcats will honor the seven seniors on this year's team.
