PROVIDENCE, RI – A pair of goals in a five-minute span was the difference for the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team on Wednesday. Olivia Cairrao scored both goals as the Wildcats defeated Colby-Sawyer, 2-1.

It was a scoreless affair until Cairrao scored her two goals. In the 45th minute, she spun and fired from 22 yards out into the top right-hand corner. Just 3:26 into the second half she got the header from Cat Nolan and scored from 10 yards out.
Cairrao has three multi-goal games in her last five contests. The Bristol, RI native is tied for the GNAC lead with 10 goals.
The Chargers cut the lead to 2-1 with 5:26 to play when Amanda Martin stole the ball just outside the midfield circle, dribbled left into the box and shot from five yards out into the right-hand corner.
Keeping the Chargers in the game was goalkeeper Oona Bond. Johnson & Wales had a 31-4 shot advantage, but Bond came up with 12 saves.
Johnson & Wales goes on the road Saturday to face Norwich at 1 p.m.
