Women’s Soccer Falls 4-0 to Wheaton

PROVIDENCE, RI – One of the top offenses in the region, the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team had the tables turned on it Tuesday night. The Wildcats lost a 4-0 decision to Wheaton.

Of Note:
Wheaton got the only goal of the first half in the 36th minute. Wendy Ireland's shot ricocheted off the crossbar and down to Jaime Rattenni. She whiffed on her first attempt, but made contact the second time to get the ball passed JWU goalie Colleen Lynch.

The Lyons got on the board again 12 minutes into the second half. Hannah Lepordo dribbled around a diving Lynch and put the ball into the empty net.

Johnson & Wales had a good chance in the 27th minute when Olivia Cairrao's shot rocketed off the post.
