Portland, Maine -- The Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team started conference action with a decisive victory on Saturday. The Wildcats got both of their goals late in the first half on their way to a 2-0 win at Saint Joseph's.

Johnson & Wales got its goals during the final 10 minutes of the opening stanza. Molly McCormack (Livingston, NJ) scored her first goal of the season with Olivia Cairrao (Bristol, R.I.) providing the assist. Cairrao has 12 points in the first three games of her collegiate career.
Junior Deja Hursey (Columbia, Md.) scored a goal for the third-straight game when she found the back of the net with just 50 seconds left in the half. Kyra Selner (Sterling, Va.) set up the goal with a crossing pass.
Johnson & Wales kept the pressure on SJC by outshooting the hosts, 14-6. JWU keeper Colleen Lynch (New Milford, Conn.) only had to make three saves to record her second shutout in a row.
Johnson & Wales is on the road Monday when it travels to Connecticut College for a 4 pm contest.
