Wildcats Wraps up Fall at Lowell Halloween Regatta

LOWELL, Mass. – Going up against tough competition and tougher weather conditions, the Johnson & Wales University women's rowing team competed at the Lowell Halloween Regatta on the Merrimack River. The Wildcats competed in the Varsity 4 and Novice 8, but the Varsity 8 boat did not get into the water due to deteriorating conditions.

The Varsity 4 boat finished in fourth place with a time of 21:48 that was just behind the University of New Hampshire. Sarah Healy was the coxswain with Abby Taylor as the stroke.

Johnson & Wales had two entries into the Novice 8 race. Jessica Tilley was the coxswain and Kathleen Troxell the stroke for the JWU "A" boat that crossed the line in second place at 20:21.2, just behind UNH. The JWU "B" boat turned in a third-place time of 22:15.9 with Tatiana Windley in the coxswain seat and Maeve McAuley serving as the stroke.
