Great Showing for Women’s Rowing at Clark Invitational

WORCESTER Mass. – The familiar waters of Lake Quinsigamond resulted in a great day for the Johnson & Wales University women's rowing team. The Wildcats recorded a second-place finish on Saturday at the Clark Invitational.

Guided by coxswain Jessica Tilley and stroke Jaym Henderson, the Wildcats' Varsity 8 turned in a time of 6:55.10. JWU finished second behind sixth-ranked Hamilton. The race was shortened by 50 meters.

The Varsity 4 crossed the finish line in 9:09.60 to take third. Sarah Healy served as the coxswain with Julia Alfonzetti as the stroke.

The Wildcats are back on Lake Quinsigamond next Saturday for the Assumption Invitational.
