More Improvement for Women’s Rowing at Assumption Invitational

WORCESTER, Mass. – Lake Quinsigamond has been good to the Johnson & Wales University women's rowing team the last two weeks. The Wildcats continued their improvement on Saturday at the Assumption Invitational.

Led by coxswain Elizabeth Conover-Prentiss (Belmont, Mass.) and stroke Jaym Henderson (Woodstock, Vt.), the Wildcats' Varsity 8 A boat chopped five seconds off its time last week to finish second in the 2,000-meter race with a time of 7:35.0

An even bigger improvement was made by the Varsity 8 B boat as coxswain Elise Bray (DeLancey, NY) and stroke Jillian Sartucci (South Weymouth, Mass.) led JWU to a 25-second improvement for a fourth-place time 8:15.9. The Novice 8 team posted a time of 8:42.7 with Tatiana Windley (Bronx, NY) handling the coxswain duties with Brooke Snow (Central Village, Conn.) as the stroke.

Next week the Wildcats travel to Philadelphia for the Kerr Cup on April 15-16.
