Wrestling Standout Colin Lenhardt Advances To NCAA Division III National Championship

Junior wrestling standout  Colin Lenhardt (Gloucester, Va.) earned a bid to the  2013 NCAA Division III National Championship after taking first place at 184 pounds at the Northeast Regional, hosted by WPI on this weekend.  Lenhardt went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend, including a 3-2 victory against Wesleyan's Jefferson Ajayi in the finals.

Senior Joe Pronk (Marshfield, Mass.) posted a 4-2 record on the weekend to earn All-Region honors with a fifth-place finish.  Sophomore Sean Prell (Warwick, N.Y.) was 3-1 for the tournament at 165 pounds while senior Humphrey Swift (Danbury, Conn.) rounded out the fifth-place finishers for JWU with a 4-2 record, including a pair of victories via pin fall.  Senior 197 pounder Blake McNulty (Framingham, Mass.)  and freshman 149 pounder Joey Gaccione (Highpoint, N.J.) each notched sixth-place finishes for the Wildcats with both earning All-Region accolades.

Lenhardt will now travel to the NCAA Division III National Championship on March 15-16 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
